Indie Game Development

Rob Targosz started Eragion in 2011 to develop games and apps for mobile and desktop platforms. Eragion released three apps. Plummet is a simple ball drop game for Windows Phone released in 2011. Celerity is a performance testing app for Windows Phone released in 2012. Lost Keys is a platform game released for Windows Phone, iOS and Android in 2011-2012.

In 2013, Rob created Bent Vector from Eragion as focus moved away from XNA game development to Unity 3D engine-based games. Bent Vector plans to release new games every year starting in 2014. Releases will run on the wide range of platforms supported by the Unity 3D game engine.

Rob Targosz

About

Rob Targosz is Sole Proprietor of video game development company Bent Vector Studios. He is also Senior Software Architect at enterprise security company Blue Coat Systems.

Over the last 25 years, Rob has designed and developed a wide range of software systems. This includes cockpit display systems for Boeing and graphics drivers for Microsoft. He has also designed security software for Intel and Honeywell. Most recently, he has written several games for Android, Apple and Windows phones/tablets.

Rob holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics McMaster University where he attended on dual scholarships. The first scholarship was from Canadian Air Force ROTP program. Rob was also a member of McMaster's varsity Olympic Wrestling team.

After university Rob spent 3 years with the Canadian Air Force at CFB Kingston. He then spent some time Canadian Forces Command and Staff College in Toronto. After retiring from the Air Force, he spent 6 years at B&W Heat Treating in Kitchener. Most recently, Rob spent 6 years at ALT Software in Waterloo and 9 years with Intel Security in Waterloo.

Intel recognized Rob for his public speaking skills as well as his technical innovation and patents. Internet blog sites at Microsoft and gaming sites have interviewed Rob. If you would like to have Rob speak to your group about Online Security or Software Development please contact him.

Lost Keys is Bent Vector Studios' second game title, released in July 2011.
